FunimationCon 2020 is free to fans in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The show starts July 3rd – 4th and will be the first anime virtual convention for the Summer season.

Funimation revealed panels and events programmed for FunimationCon on July 3-4. Today FunimationCon 2020 unveiled panels for Attack on Titan, Listeners, and Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, featuring English voice actors from each series for lively discussions and Q&A. The newly announced panels join a growing list of exciting panel discussions at FunimationCon that include Fruits Basket, Fire Force, and One Piece.

Funimation Panels Announced:

Attack on Titan 

Get ready for Attack on Titan The Final Season with Funimation! We sit down with the voices behind some of your favorite characters and relive the biggest moments from the first three seasons. This panel features voice actors Bryce Papenbrook (Eren), Trina Nishimura (Mikasa), Josh Grelle (Armin), J Michael Tatum (Erwin), Bryn Apprill (Christa), and Mike McFarland (ADR Director) and is moderated by Funimation's Josellie Rios. You will NOT want to miss this!


Explore the world of Listeners with the English voice actors and the ADR director as they discuss the series and rock music! Also exclusive Q&A with Dai Sato, the co-creator and head writer, answering questions from Funimation fans of Listeners. Justin Briner (Echo Rec), Bryn Apprill (Mu), Lee George (Jimi Stonefree), and Cris George (ADR Director). The panel is hosted by Jacki Jing.

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun 

Pursue the paranormal! Justin Briner (Hanako) and Ian Sinclair (Tsuchigomori) guide us through a behind the scenes  look at recording from home, special messages from the cast, and an exclusive Q&A with the legendary Megumi Ogata (Hanako and Tsukasa). Additional guests include Tia Ballard (Nene), Emily Neves (Aoi), Aaron Dismuke (Natsuhiko), Tyson Rinehart (Kou), and Jād Saxton (ADR Director). Let’s get spooky!

FunimationCon is hosting its first-ever live My Hero One’s Justice 2 Esports challenge. Powered by Esports Stadium Arlington; Connect with your favorite cast members of My Hero Academia: Justin Briner (Deku), Clifford Chapin (Bakugo), Christopher Sabat (All Might), Patrick Seitz (Endeavor), Ricco Fajardo (Mirio) and more as they recreate iconic fight scenes in the new BANDAI NAMCO video game MY HERO ONE'S JUSTICE 2. Professional Wrestler, Kenny Omega (AEW) hosts this once in a lifetime chance to see your favorite characters pitted against one another during this exciting head to head combat in the ultimate test for righteousness.

Funimation is also excited to announce it has teamed with Aniplex of America to livestream Aniplex Online Fest on July 4 as part of its programming track. All day long, fans at FunimationCon can easily enjoy Aniplex Online Fest, through FunimationCon. Aniplex Online Fest will feature a diverse array of online content, including talk shows with the staff and cast from popular anime, special appearances and past live shows from music artists, and behind-the-scenes stories from the anime industry. 

The Aniplex of America Living Room Sessions:
Join your favorite Aniplex of America team members Rose and Anthony as they introduce you to a wide variety of shows now on Funimation! From classics to hidden gems, this fun and informative panel introduces you to your next favorite anime or to a show you haven’t thought about in ages..

Funimation also announced special programs from Sony Music Labels Artists such as: BLUE ENCOUNT, FLOW, KANA-BOON, Luna Haruna, and special DJ performance by DJ MarGenal. Along with a special airing of the 2019 SACRA MUSIC Festival which was SACRA MUSIC’s first ever live music event to celebrate music from its own label

More panels will be added with companies such as Right Stuf and VIZ Media. 

Shonen Jump Virtual Panel - Host Urian Brown and SJ Editor Alexis Kirsch will be taking deep dives into Shonen Jump monster hits like Black Clover, One Piece and more. Plus, interviews and games with My Hero Academia voice actors Justin Briner (Deku) and Christopher Sabat (All Might).
